Job Title: Data Partnerships Lead

The Role
We are looking for a Data Partnerships Lead to build and scale strategic relationships with companies interested in contributing operational workflow data for AI training and evaluation.
You will own the partnership process end-to-end: identifying companies with valuable business workflows, building trusted relationships with founders and executive teams, leading discovery conversations, navigating privacy and security discussions, structuring commercial partnerships, and onboarding long-term partners.
What You'll Do
- Source and engage companies with valuable operational workflows across a variety of industries.
- Build trusted relationships with founders, CEOs, operators, and executive leadership teams.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand business processes, workflow complexity, and long-term partnership potential.
- Educate prospective partners on how workflow data is used to train and evaluate frontier AI systems while maintaining privacy, security, and company control.
- Lead conversations around anonymization, confidentiality, data ownership, compliance, and security requirements.
- Design partnership structures that create long-term value for both partner companies and micro1.
- Negotiate commercial terms and lead partnership agreements from first conversation through execution.
- Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product, Legal, and Data teams to successfully onboard new partners.
- Develop scalable acquisition strategies, messaging, and partnership playbooks as the program grows.
- Help shape the long-term vision and strategy for Company Data Partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated success building, negotiating, and closing complex B2B partnerships or strategic commercial agreements.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility and long-term relationships with founders, business owners, and senior decision-makers.
- Excellent discovery, qualification, and consultative selling skills, with a genuine curiosity for understanding how businesses operate.
- Comfortable leading conversations involving privacy, security, confidentiality, compliance, and data ownership.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and compelling way to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to source opportunities, build pipeline, and open doors through strategic outbound efforts and relationship-building.
- Highly resourceful, execution-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving initiatives from strategy through execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Venture Capital, particularly in investment, platform, or portfolio support roles, with an established network across startup ecosystems.
- Experience in AI, data, SaaS, marketplaces, or technology partnerships.
- Experience working closely with founders, owner-operated businesses, and operational leaders.
- Familiarity with data licensing, data acquisition, or emerging AI infrastructure markets.
- Experience in Private Equity portfolio operations, value creation, or similar roles working closely with executive teams to drive operational initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits Notice
The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $130,000 –$180,000. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. micro1 provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
